Competitive 'bars' rely on thin sound 'beams' and wall reflections
to generate surround, but as every wall is different, rooms
change the sound. By relying on diffraction and very broad
'beams', the FS3 is consistent, room independent and corners
and large rooms cease to be a problem. Generating a wide
listening area, means users no longer have to fight for
the one 'hot seat' that works. Finally, by including a subwoofer
in the price, Denon ensure that the system can deliver the
explosive bass that Home Cinema demands. No complex room
tuning is needed, simply'Plonk & Play'.
Totally transforming the sound from any Flat TV, the
FS3 delivers 150 watts of cinematic experience, a large-scale
enveloping sound field, crystal clear dialogue and remarkable
surround effects, all from a slim elegant 'bar' that is
as easy to use as the TV. Just plug in a DVD or satellite
box to get digital surround sound. Or use the Dolby Pro
Logic II decoder to generate convincing surround from
the audio of any TV, VCR or PVR.
The cabinet contains six precision speaker drivers, six
powerful digital amplifiers and advanced DSP chips running
Denon's new X-SPACE Surround programme, which control
each individual speaker. Sophisticated superimposition
of sound waves creates a realistic impression of surround
sound which comes amazingly close to the traditional A/V
setup with five speakers. Two speakers are used specifically
for the all important centre channel to deliver power
and clarity. The FS3 beams the sound waves out over a
very broad area, giving very wide coverage in the room.
